What is Troo?

What is Troo?

Troo is a social-emotional learning app that helps kids ages 4–9 build empathy, resilience, and mindful screen habits through interactive stories and activities.

The Challenge

The Challenge

Troo set out to close a gap in kids’ digital learning: most apps were either fun but shallow, or educational but passive and unengaging. The challenge was to design an experience that truly delighted children while reassuring parents it was safe, meaningful, and worth their child’s screen time.

How might we make learning about emotions fun and accessible for kids, while assuring value for parents?

Outcome and Impact

Outcome and Impact

Troo’s redesign showed measurable results across engagement, learning, and trust. Children came back to the app, spending more time in meaningful activities, while parents felt reassured that screen time was safe and educational. These outcomes not only strengthened the product experience but also positioned Troo for recognition and partnerships in the edtech space.
